I tried AB with assassin and ele now, both pvp characters with good builds and equipt. It's just so dam boring...

Do you guys know how to make it fun? It just seems like a grind.

Any fun builds out there?

1. find a group of friends that run good builds.

2. Go pillage and kill.

EDIT: On topic:: That's what I do to make AB fun. Just going in and PuG'ing is boring enough to put me to sleep. Getting a well coordinated group of friends, running builds that compliment each other and allow you to handle 90% of the situations you'll face in AB, are what make AB fun for me now.

Best we can do is play with people who have brains and beat them with superior tactics (capping shrines)

I think AB is the Funnest as a Minion master
Or as a BA interutpiting ranger. I just find interupting so funny

A MM team is always a good one its fun and pretty easy to cap shrines.

Searing flames on elementalist is very fun for wreacking havock on mobs.
So is B-Surge for annoying those alful sins and wars.

I find a toucher build to be intersting. IF your someone like me and enjoy watching pepole on the internet shouting abuse at you the toucher is the way to go.
Spirt spam is pretty fun i guess but i never found a decent build that keeps u alive for long

Personaly i only do AB for fun now. Because i simply do HFFF for faction. I usaly just listen to one of my favourite albums and do it until i get 10k

But its no fun if don't win. So run a good defensive build with a few annoying attacks such as knock downs and so on. so you can tank while capiing shrines.

ABs are either a load of fun or hopelessly boring, and it's hard to tell which it is going to be before you get in, unfortunately.

here is what i do to make ab fun
use all wiki builds at least once or create a suposedly new build that is a slightly different version from wiki.

lately for example ive been playing rt/sin rt/ranger ele/sin
and they do pretty good damage though most people would laugh and call u noob when they see a dagger on other proffesion. untill they get destroyed

so make mix proffesions that dont make sense who knows you will find out some great build

I recommend playing a Ranger.

Make sure to pack a longbow or flatbow, so that you can solo cap shrines. Other than that make sure you have plenty of interrupts... and start looking for elementalists and assassins.

Basically when you see an assassin coming, let off an interrupt as soon as they get in melee range.. 4 out of 5 times you're going to hit their lead attack, and they'll just shoot off the rest of their combo and fail miserably. Cripple them, blind them, interrupt them, kite them... and of course, you have to taunt them in local chat. See how many angry sins you can get following you before the match is over.

I once had 4 assassins (one of those all-sin groups kind of thing) and a really angry ele chasing me around Grenz for about 4 minutes, it was hilarious because none of them brought a snare and I kept crippling the only sin with a run buff.

Play with a PUG. Your life will certainly not be boring. Can't say much about fun - it just depends on who you get and how competent they are.

Also try different builds. One of the best things about AB is that you can run a subpar build (not terribad) and get away with it. It is the bottom of the PvP foodchain, but that's not excuse not to experiment and have fun.

Though trying a new class would be great. I play 3 classes - Ranger, Monk, Elementalist in AB and find it enough to entertain me as long as I change builds once in a while. Maybe getting a new class might be the thing you're looking for.

I guess I'll try it with my rit, haven't played with him in ages. If that fails I guess I'll try ranger and monk.

Nah, is more funny to bring Diversion and start diverting Assasin combos, touchers, etc.

I play AB only with RL friends and guildies, usually with voice communication. Not only does it improve our performance but it makes the actual play a lot more fun.

Having said that, however, AB has a built in fun limit. You can only play it for so long before it starts to get repetative. Time to take a break and do something else for a while. If you're just grinding it for faction it won't be fun. Grinding never is.
